Q. How did you advertise your business Web Site?

Established in 1937, Sheila’s Flowers is a successful family run business and has stores in Bray, Co. Wicklow and Dunlaoghire, Dublin, Ireland. As founder members of INTERFLORA who are associates of FTD in the US and FLEUROP in Europe, Sheila’s Flowers are in a position to send flowers anywhere in the world.
Managing Director, Nigel Banks takes every opportunity to develop and expand his business and very recently set up the Sheila’s Flowers web site. Customers from all over the world can visit the creatively designed site and order from a beautiful selection of fresh floral arrangements for local, national or international delivery.
One of the difficulties facing Nigel was how to inform his customers about his new Web Site but after some research decided the best way was to send a PostcardXpress direct mail advertising postcard. He contacted PostcardXpress and together they came up with a design and message for his card. The card clearly states the web address, www.sheilas.ie and also other important contact information. (See card). Nigel then mailed the card to all his account customers who now know the web address of their favourite florist! Hits to the Sheila’s site increase steadily on a daily basis as customers go on-line to choose the special arrangement they want to send.
Nigel also left the cards in both stores where customers who call in can pick them up and know that the next time they want to send flowers they can visit the web site and order from the comfort of their own home or office!
